Welcome to Looking For Players (LFP)!

This small website tries to give a home to those players who would like to start a new game (like an MMO), and are looking for someone to play with.

Why don’t they write on the official forum of the game they want to play? This is usually the best thing to do, indeed. However, if you don’t know yet which game you want to play, or you are open to several options, this might be difficult to do. Especially if you plan to play casually, finding a good mate, someone like-minded, is usually more important than the gameplay itself (at least for some games).

There are already few options for this kind of gamers, like Steam and Reddit, where you can often find vague requests, like “I played game A, B and C, but I wouldn’t mind starting a new one, if I find someone like me”. They usually get vague replies, like “Have you already tried to post there? I would suggest you to play this game…” (usually the game that the one who replies likes) so in the end the OP never finds anyone, unfortunately.

Moreover, in GamerPals (the most famous LFG subreddit), is quite hard to browse old posts, simply because the structure is like a giant blog, rather than a forum. And it’s only in English.

Is LFP different? Well yes. The backbone of this service is the Forum: here you can post your request directly in the thread of the game you want to play (if you already know it) or under a more generic thread, if you are open to more options. If you want to share some knowledge about a game, you can simply check its thread. You can also advertise your guild for example, even if no one asked yet.

You can post in English and in your mother tongue. The light blue globe at the top right of the screen lets you automatically translate any page of this website. Then feel free to open a thread in the language you prefer, for example to talk only with players of your country (just add the tag of the language in the subject – check the rules).

In addition to a simple blog on reddit, here you can also spend some time reading a review, listening to some music or watching some video. The downside, are the views… no need to hide it, this space is still new, thus we have few visitors. So far! Still, if you stumbled here, it might be worth to leave a post, you never know!
